Kurippu

Is your OET letter a pass? Check it against your case notes, free.

Kurippu reads your case notes and your letter together. In about a minute you see whether the letter reaches your country's Writing target, a score on each of the six OET criteria, the case-note details you missed or didn't need, and every mistake quoted with a fix. No sign-up for your first letter.

Writing target for nurses: UK C+ (300) · Ireland C+ (300) · Australia B (350) · New Zealand C+ (300)

How Kurippu grades

  • Our marking rules are based on OET's published sample letters and their official grades.
  • The grade is calculated from the six criterion scores, using OET's published B standard (Purpose 2 of 3, every other criterion 5 of 7).
  • We test every change on our own practice letters with deliberately planted mistakes.
  • It is still an estimate. We have not yet compared Kurippu with expert tutors or real OET results. Read how we test.

Who makes Kurippu

I'm Aswin, a software developer in Bengaluru. I built Kurippu because nurses practising for OET wait days for feedback on a letter, or get none at all. If something looks wrong, or you have an idea, message me directly.

Questions

Is this an official OET score?

No. Kurippu gives an estimate for practice. It is not affiliated with OET, and only OET can give you an official result.

How accurate is it?

We built our marking rules from OET's published graded sample letters and test them on letters with known mistakes. We have not yet measured Kurippu against expert tutors or real OET results. That study is under way, and we will publish the results.

Which Writing grade do I need?

UK, Ireland and New Zealand ask nurses for C+ (300) in Writing. Australia asks for 350 for tests from 23 April 2026. Rules change, so always confirm with your regulator.

Where do I get case notes?

Use one of our free practice cases, written for Kurippu, or paste a practice task from your course or book. Kurippu needs the notes to check what your letter included or left out.

Is my letter private?

Your letters are used only to grade them and, if you have an account, to show your history. We don't sell them or use them to advertise. Never paste real patient details.

Why not just use ChatGPT?

A general chatbot doesn't check your letter against the case notes or the six OET criteria, and it often invents facts. Kurippu lists the case-note details you missed or didn't need and quotes every mistake with a fix.
